SEMINARS & EVENTS

What Numbers Matter

Sunshine Coast Libraries Event – 5th February to 27th April 2013

RibaKasteel Chartered Accountants is proud to partner with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Libraries to present a series of seminars designed to assist small businesses on the Sunshine Coast.

The numbers in your business tell a story. Unless you are monitoring the numbers that matter, you are not able to properly measure the performance of your business.

Throughout the life cycle of any business, you should be monitoring your business’s performance. Any deviation from what is expected can alert you to an issue which may require immediate attention.

The first seminar in this series will highlight the key numbers that you, as a business owner, can use to measure and monitor the performance of your business, as well as provide some simple tools to make this task quick and easy.

You will also hear about some simple tax planning tips and strategies to minimise your obligations and save on tax – without having to spend any more money – that you can implement now rather than waiting until tax time.

This seminar is designed for business owners who are registered for GST, who prepare a complete set of financial accounts in-house, or are comfortable reading and understanding their financial statements.

Bookings are essential. Contact Sunshine Coast Libraries on 1300 LIBRARY or visit the Sunshine Coast Libraries Events Page.

The second seminar in this series will walk you through common bookkeeping errors and guide you on how to prepare a complete and accurate set of records for your accountant.

By following this guide, you will have more accurate financial records, less questions from your accountant and the opportunity to reduce your accounting fees.

The presentation will cover key accounts for review in the Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet, including reconciling GST accounts, your debtors and creditors, wages and superannuation accounts.

This seminar is designed for businesses that are registered for GST and prepare financial accounts in-house using a computerised accounting system such as Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks or industry specific accounting software.

Bookings are essential. Contact Sunshine Coast libraries on 1300 LIBRARY or visit the Sunshine Coast Libraries Events Page.

Sunshine Coast Libraries Event – 20th August to 14th September 2013

RibaKasteel Chartered Accountants is proud to partner with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Libraries to present a series of seminars designed to assist small businesses on the Sunshine Coast.

Cash is King. More businesses fail from a lack of cash rather than a lack of profit.

The third and final seminar in this series will prepare you, as a business owner, for the peaks and troughs of the economic business cycle.

You will learn how to quickly and easily prepare a cash-flow forecast and, using some simple tips, learn how to increase the cash-flows in your business.

We will also provide you with some simple methods to implement better systems and controls to minimise the risk of fraud.

Year End Bookkeeping Tips and Tricks – 2012

Sunshine Coast Libraries Event – July 2012

Our “Year End Bookkeeping Tips and Tricks” seminars held at Sunshine Coast Libraries all over the Coast last year in July was an overwhelming success.

The series of free seminars was designed to assist Sunshine Coast business owners and bookkeepers get their records in shape ready for tax time and provided a host of practical and useful tips & tricks.

We were able to help over 50 businesses (including a couple from Victoria on holiday) by highlighting common mistakes in their accounting systems, and share a few tips and tricks to make keeping their business tax records a breeze.
